Author’s note – When I was in Class X, we had the board exams. There was less stress in studying for the exam, than in hearing everyone around you comment on how you should study, what marks you should get etc. As a result, numerous students often cribbed on how “stressed” out they were. Now the present students in Class X don’t have the board exams. C.B.S.E. believes it is enhancing the learning experience of students by getting rid of the class ten board examinations. But has the stress gone?

Editor’s note – The author makes a satirical analogy of the education system and explains how our education system is a breeding ground for negative mental health and tendencies.

Author’s note – I was highly disturbed by the hullabaloo created by the declaration of the CBSE 12^th Boards results this year, more so because the madness seems to be on the rise each year. This article explains my personal sentiment towards the examination system of India, and how undue importance given to marks and results affects the mind of a student.
